One day in the future, Obama might do something. Not based upon any past or current actions.

Huckabee might do something too, in the future. Huck might be a crackpot now.

It would be impossible for Huckabee to be both a crackpot and an amazing mind reader.

Oh, that's right, he isn't an amazing mind reader.

Heck, I don't even think he is a reader. For someone who claims to be such a God-fearing, Bible-lovin' Christian, he doesn't seem to give much evidence as to have ever read The Bible.

The saddest aspect of all this is that Obama does NOT have the power to take anyone's gun away.

But the nutjob lemmings will believe anything their media/political masters tell them to believe.

So we are all lead to believe in Mike's dubious theories, but for the life of him, he can't grasp the theory of evolution.

They'll believe hook, line and sinker in conspiracy theories like this one, but when it comes to science and history, they are dumbfounded by it all.

It scared them a few years ago. I know "yokels" that had never fired a gun, that started going to gun shows, and bought several weapons each. They felt pressured to do so before Obama was sworn into office, 'cause he was going to take our guns from us. Totally bizzare reasoning behind their actions then and now.

It seems there are a lot of "assorted nuts" craving for an excuse to defend their Second Amendment right.

Did the NRA not claim that President Obama was going to take away their guns the last time he was elected? It is a cry to motivate their base.

Personally, I realized a few years ago that the "gun genie" is out of the bottle and it can't go back in. I simply want a strong licensing, carry and training requirement for anyone wanting to play cowboy. I want real waiting periods, federal background checks, no carryzones and tough licensing for stores selling weapons.

Sigh...America is in love with guns and violence.

About 15 years ago, our house caught the "unintended consequences" of a drive-by shooting in the street outside. I picked up three spent bullets from my sons' beds and bedroom floor. Thank all the powers that be that my boys were sleeping on the living room couch that night. I remember blurting out to the officer who came in to collect the bullets, "Never mind taking their guns away. Can you just teach the little **ckers to shoot so they hit each other instead of our kids?"

Oh please, the only reason they shot up your house was because it looked suspicious. That's what you get for leaving an empty can of iced tea and an empty Skittles wrapper in your lawn.

In all seriousness, though, I'm really glad nothing terrible happened to your children. I couldn't even imagine.

Widespread fire and blood in the streets?
Major terrorist attacks on US soil?
      Everyone's guns taken away?
      The end of capitalism?
      The rise of communism?
      FEMA camps?
      Brutal crackdowns on dissidents?
Every rich conservative media personality having all his money (and his ability to "create" jobs) taken away and given to the poor?

Obama sure sucks at accomplishing his goals.

Huckabee Suggests Obama Is Waiting To Be Re-Elected To Crack Down On Second Amendment Rights

Sure he will, Huck -- that's why he signed a bill three years ago that allows firearms to be carried in national parks and other protected areas.

Just President Obama said he won't raise taxes on the middle class -- meaning he's going to raise taxes on the middle class . . . or how he eliminated bin Laden -- meaning he's a terrorist-coddling appeaser.

I do love these visits to Rightwingnut Opposite World -- don't you?

I hope its true -- it's about time some common sense was restored to our gun laws....

Stand your ground, laws to prevent showing how easy it is to avoid sales rules, college campuses, guns in bars, assualt weapons....

I have no problem with guns and/or defending your home, but this has gone way to far to the extreme.

Before you start shouting 2nd amendment -- there are limits on other amendments -- strip searches in jails, shouting fire in crowded places, etc. so there is nothing to prevent reasonable limits on the 2nd....It's not all or nothing....

My fear is that he won't...just like he didn't go after real reform on wall street...

Absolutely true, and anybody who thinks about it for a second will realize that all rights must, logically, be restricted by others' rights. You simply cannot have everybody's unrestricted rights running all over everybody else's.
Of course, that's reason speaking- and these folks in the right wing are notorious for exactly the kind of all-or-nothing, strictly binary thinking that needs no reason.
