Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems to me that Stand Your Ground Laws can be used to make dueling legal.

With dueling out of the way, what other tacit will they use to keep making guns for profit?

The "Stand Your Ground" law does not apply to this killing and cannot, will not be used in Zimmermans defense.

Once the prosecution has the analysis of the audio and it is clear exactly what Zimmerman said and also that Trayvon was screaming for help, Zimmerman is a done bun.

The only question left for him is: State Maximum Security Prison? or Max Security Facility for mentally insane criminals?

The scourge and plague that is ALEC must be thoroughly exposed, brought down and it's operatives neutralized and neutered.

WE MUST VOTE THEIR REPUBLICANS OUT OF POWER WHEREVER THEY ARE!!

They don't even need the audio.
Zimmerman pursued this young man for no reason and was not standing HIS ground, but a public sidewalk.

True, but its existence on the statute book provides an incentive/excuse for law enforcement to neglect their responsibility to investigate as soon as a suspect asserts "self-defence".

          Exactly.

It was the excuse to let the shooter go.

          And

          1) This shooting would not have happened if the victim wasn't black.

          2) Even if it did, the shooter would have been arrested if the victim wasn't black.

I believe that the law will be used as a defense and possibly successfully. The defense will claim that Zimmerman was following Martin only to keep track of him until police arrived and not with the intent to harm him. Martin confronted Zimmerman, an unidentified adult with no badge or uniform, to ask why he (Zimmerman) was following him. The defense will claim that this confrontation is what made Zimmerman feel threatened.

This defense is weak in that 1) Zimmerman disregarded instructions from the Police to not pursue Martin 2) Zimmerman was armed and Martin was not and 3) clearly it was Martin who felt threatened as Martin was the one calling for help. At that point Zimmerman would have to have known that he held power over the situation.

On the other hand, Zimmerman might walk as, regardless of all other circumstances, he will argue that at the moment of confrontation he felt that his life was in danger. Sadly, I can see Zimmerman being found guilty of something other than first-degree murder, or getting off completely, and being found guilty of wrongful death in a civil case. I hope I'm wrong.

What's ALEC? Also, the "Stand your Ground" law doesn't apply when you've been chasing someone. Until we know exactly what really happened, it's too soon to jump on either band-wagon.
