I agree. Beckle actual does a good jobs making his points. The others just talk over him and drown him out but they don't really make any valid points.

Well, anyone would seem like a genius compared to Eric Bolling. I mean if the guy's lips are moving, he is telling some dilution of the facts or some racist commit. The poor thing lacks even the moral code of a non journalist but as a so-called journalist, he is light worlds away from any moral standard of journalism.

His analogy is a good one. It would be like an American League owner who didn't like the designated hitter rule refusing to use one. You can be against the way the rules are while nevertheless playing by the same ones as everybody else.

It does underline how money doesn't just talk in United States politics. Thanks to the reprehensible Citizens United decision, and its effective overturning of a hundred years of practical and legal precedents, money screams. It's the worst Supreme Court ruling in generations.

I don't feel the least bit bad for Mr. Beckel. He knows full well that his purpose is to be overruled and demonstrate that "libruls" are always wrong. He's not changing any minds or speaking to an audience that will ever agree with him. He's a rank traitor who gets paid handsomely to reinforce the Reich-wing delusions. If he, and the other "libruls" who appear on FAUX"News" had an ounce of integrity he/they would leave and tell all despite the vaunted FAUX"News" non-disclosure agreements.

. . .the sad part is the "visual" Beckle presents, two FOX babes with botoxed lips and a middle age youthful something challenging a stereotyped image of an old time Democratic party old hack circa the fifties.

It's not what he says, it's the 'look', that FOX bots saver.then just pour the talking points over the visual.

Did Obama ever promise not to take money from superPACs? It has nothing to do with whether he is for or against Citizens United and it is in know way hypocritical. The analogies both Bolling and Gutfeld made were horrible. "I'm taking drugs 'cause I'm trying to keep up with my patients?" That is gibberish. And why is it always drugs?

        Good point shaggles,

It would be like in pro football if they changed the rules to make field goals worth five points instead of three, and then call any coach who disliked with the new rule a hypocrite for accepting the extra two points or any victories that came as a result of the rule changes.

Unfortunately, the other team isn't going to respect your position or integrity when they have the opportunity to use the change in rules to their advantage, and the changes in campaign financing brought about by Citizens United is no different. Whether you like it or not, the people who wanted it got it, and they're going to bury you with superpac money if you don't adapt.

Although I'm not happy that Obama caved and now plans on using a super pac, I certainly understand why. Even if the rw hate machine is right and Obama will raise $1 billion for reelection, the Koch Brothers and ten more of their cronies, alone, could fund a GOP candidate against him.

Thats what makes these Pacs so amazingly bad. These billionaires and multi millionaires are willing to donate tens of millions of dollars to GOP candidates so that they dont have to pay millions more in taxes. I thought that if they had to pay these taxes, they couldn't hire middle class workers. How are they supposed to hire people when they give all their money away to Super Pacs?

This reminds me so much of "The West Wing" episode on soft money. I cheered when Ron Silver's character said that he was tired of democrats curling into balls and begging not to be hurt. Why shouldn't the democrats level the playing field. When you go into a campaign, you've got to work under the rules as they exist. I fully support The President continuing to try and repeal "Citizens United". But, use everything legally at your disposal. Your opponents are sure gonna. Oh, and Ron Silver became a right-wing extremist after 9-11. That attack sure messed up a lot of people besides the one in the actual incident.

Corporations cannot contribute unlimited amounts to political campaigns. They have the same restriction as real people. What Citizen's United allows is for corporations to run their own ads in support or in opposition to a candidate. You have the same right; just not the same resources.

Not saying this is a good thing, just explaining.

Leave it to repulsive moron Bolling to concoct an analogy linking Obama and illegal drugs. FOXPAC is complete and utter trash. The fact that anyone buys advertising on it, or that it can maintain any audience is a sad statement on at least a segment of our society and corporate America. These losers haven't the vaguest concept of respect, decency, or even of patriotism. Rather than spreading verbal sewage of the airwaves for pay, Bolling should be a national pariah.

Superpacs are bad, unless they support Obama. Why am I not surprised? Obama has flip flopped once again. - panzer
This isn't a flip-flop. He's still on record as opposing Citizens United. However, he won't have much success fighting it if he doesn't use the tools that the other guys are using.

Let's say honor duels are legal and I'm morally opposed to their legality. Then let's say that I'm inescapably put in a position where I'm in an honor duel. I'm not going to throw the gun down and draw a knife (assuming I'm not James Coburn in The Magnificent Seven) I'm going to use the legitimate tools that give me a fighting chance. If I prevail, I can still be morally opposed to honor duels and my forced participation in one doesn't change that or present a case of hypocrisy.

It's really kind of an interesting position for Obama. "Please contribute to my Super PAC so I can work to eliminate Super PACS." It's reasonable.

He was just congenitally unable to understand it. 007. same thing. They seem to think you have an obligation to either agree with the way things are done or opt out of the system. I think it is their simplistic minds. The very concept of nuance is simply beyond their simian brainpans

You know... Whenever I argue with a Liberal (and believe it or not, I do do this, and rather often!) I am presented with an actual ARGUMENT. And usualy EVIDENCE. And historical records. And REASON, logic, principle, etc... (And as often as not, I end up changing my position in some way as a result of this.)

And whenever I hear a Conservative make an argument, 99% of the time, it is retarded nonsense like this.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!

Are you simply incapable of preseenting an argument to anyone who doesn't already agree with you 100%? Don't you realize that this probably means YOU'RE WRONG?! Or, at a minimum, INCREDIBLY STUPID?!

I'll make a wager right now with any Conservatives on this board: If Romney gets the nomination, I'll vote for him if you can give ONE EXAMPLE of Obama's "failure" that is (1) Based in FACT and (2) NOT an direct result of his capitulating to or compromising with REPUBLICANS. Give me one GOOD, ACTUAL reason, and I'll give you my vote. Hey: He's gonna need every vote he can get! And I live in a battleground state!

(Not if Gingrich or Santorum get it though. Nothing will make me vote for those scumbags.)
