      The height of silliness.

Let's talk about impeachment and then report on the fact that we are talking about it.

Then to top it all off, let's ask someone if impeachment is legal and have our whole meme refuted...

      Only on Fox

Well, now we all know there is not an ounce of fair and balanced coming from Cavuto. I guess he failed to take in the concept of "not asking a question unless you know the answer supports your biased theory". and Cavuto just lost that round by asking that silly question.

What's notably absent in FOXPAC's whining about recess appointments is anything resembling a valid reason why Obama's appointee isn't up to the job.

Americans as a whole, regardless of political leaning, are beyond fed up with a Congress that would rather squabble like children in a sandbox rather than do actual work for the people that elected them. Basically, things need to get done. After several months of this appointee hanging in limbo, Obama did the right thing to fill the position and bypass the clusterF Congress. That's the only story. If FOXPAC had an iota of journalistic integrity, the issue they should be hammering relentlessly is why these Congressional bums can't work together for our benefit.

the plain fact is the commission has to have a head to exercise all of it's congressional designated powers. so Obama could have nominated Jesus and the rethuglicant's would still filibuster him. they hate hate hate the fact that it even exists.

I guess Niel never heard or adheres to the first commandment in politics, ie, never ask a question if you are not sure of the answer. Of course, I notice Fox is often their own worst enemy. That probably comes from the fact that their only goal is to facilitate a failure of the Obama administration. And my, how they fail at that. It seems their every attempt backfires on them and President Obama comes away looking like the winner on every issue.

With all this talk about impeaching Obama, it's clear that FOXPAC believes in what passes for their hearts that there's no way Obama won't be re-elected. I mean, it takes nearly a year for the process to go through, if it's fair.... oh what am I saying? I'm talking about FOXPAC where "fair" is just another meaningless four letter word.

From November 7th on, every good news item that happens in this country will be because "America is realizing that there are only 4 more years of this". The same way that every decrease in the unemployment rate, increase in housing starts or home sales that happens today is because the GOP is coming to their rescue.

Well, there you go. I predicted back in 2009 that, if the Troglodytes took the House, they'd try to impeach Obama. Well, I was wrong... at least so far.

This new phony outrage over recess appointments may give them the fig leaf they've been looking for. If their clown of choice loses in November, don't be surprised if they waste a couple of years trying to impeach our uppity President.

January 3rd, in all likelihood - first item of business on the next Congress' agenda - unless there is an ever-so-slim majority of (R)s OR (D)s in the House. And by slim, I mean the ever faithful 50%+1.

My only quibble with your comment is that singular word you put before President. First, we don't currently have an uppity President, second the word itself has some significant negative connotations.

Its about time the do-nothing, no-compromise obstructionist Reps get what they deserve. The Rep Monopoly inherited a recession in 2001 and passed on a near depression then tied Obama’s hands with an all time record number filibusters.

      http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa437/NotSoSinister/8_Years.jpg

If the Republican monopoly of 2001 couldn’t turn a recession into prosperity after 8 years why would anyone expect Obama to turn around a near depression in 3?

Cavuto: Can Obama Be Impeached For Recess Appointments? Fox News Legal Analyst: No

Apparently, there's nothing the rightwingnottocracy won't impeach a Democratic president over

      - getting a hummer in the WH
      - using Air Force One
      - making recess appointments

But impeach a Republican one for outing a covert CIA agent, suspending the writ of habeas corpus, warrantlessly wiretapping US citizens, or fixing intel as a pretext to preemptive war? NAAAAAAAHHHHHH . . .

Wow. That woman was a hack! I could have done a better job. Does anyone read the Constitution anymore? Article I, Section V states that for the Congress to adjourn both houses must assent. This means that if the House does not assent to an adjournment, there is no adjournment and the President does not have the right to use his recess appointment power.
There are two ways that Congress can adjourn. One being the consent of both houses, the other when the President calls them to adjourn. That is it.
In this case, the House did not agree to adjourn. Therefore, the Senate had to meet every three days and gavel in and out, this fulfills the requirement of Article I, Section V. It is not "murky" at all!

Yes, you're quite right, grmce. It does make me curious what the Republicans in Congress will be running on. How much they HAVEN'T done? All the things they blocked from happening? How badly they failed to get along and how that failure prevented them from accomplishing anything at all?

Who would vote for people like that? I ask myself. And then I take a look around and realize I am surrounded by the answer, and it makes me a bit sad for my country.
