I really didn't mean to be so abrupt. I was going to write something thoughtful about how Rush is just ticked because the RW smear machine has had over 6 years to find some dirt on Obama but all they can come up with is a hardworking, intelligent, family man.
I was going to write that but I've got a bad cold and there was a bear in my apple tree so I called Rush a clown.
And I thought that the squirrels destroying my garden were annoying!
I try to knock all the apples out so the deer can get them but the bears climb up anyway. I don't mind them being there but they break a lot of branches.
Lost track of how many stories wingnuts start with "We don't know the real Obama..." and then go on tell us what a communist, revolutionary subhuman he is.
You either know or you don't know something. Then again, logic has never been the right's strong suit.

These aren't poor word choices on his part. He didn't just slip and fall on the word "uppity" by dumb luck. He's delivering product.

BTW, Please, MMFA, post the clip of Rush spinning his pedophilia defense. It was embarrassing. He found one of those news items, the ones the righty talkers love, about cops being called to some elementary school because a girl kissed a boy in P.E.
He went on to assert that boys are kissing boys, girls are kissing girls, and teachers are kissing students with no repercussions, but the cops were called because something "normal" happened.
And he tried to say this was his point all along with the Sandusky / Penn St. crimes. It wasn't institutional cover-up, it was political correctness making people afraid to condemn what Rush thinks is gay activity.
I know this weirdo has some demons he's wrestling with, and I try to feel pity, but Lispy is really one of the sickest fvcks on the planet.
So, Lispy's entire rant was ruined. It was child abuse or pedophilia that got the cops there.
America's Anchorman tried to weasel out by saying he just read the item verbatim from a site called The Smoking Gun, it's never his fault. Keep up the good work, Fat Boy.
Even if that is true it is hardly an excuse. How minimally skeptical do you need to be to question the idea the cops were called to a school because a boy kissed a girl? That lack of the skepticism for these stories that are obviously ludicrous is one of the staples of the rightwing. They will believe ANYTHING as long as it confrms to their delusional fantasies
These are the stories that are picked up ( and distorted) by right wing radio every day, usually filtered through some wingnut tabloid site, a little item they can read without any context or detail, but that triggers something in the zombies brain... political correctness, destroyed values, whatever, just as long as they can be told it has to do with "Teh Left".
The caller was a dittohead, but his civic pride trumped his fealty to Lispy, so he corrected things, accidentally destroying Rush's narrative.
The funniest part was that the caller, annoyed at his town being seen as crazy, told Lispy he called to "try to un-ring that bell". Lispy giggled, and ( playing Captain OBvious) told the bot he couldn't un-ring that bell.
Of course not. Rush's sheep had already been told that, while pedophilia and teh gay was being allowed for PC reasons, a girl kissing a boy required police action. That bell has been rung.

The purpose of a debate is for the moderator to ask pertinent questions of the candidates and get their responses and solutions to current events. They are not to "talk about Obama's failed policies."

Asking people to explain discrepancies between what they claim to believe/support and their actual actions are not "traps". Do you remember George W. Bush? He didn't really have much of a national record to run on. People in the GOP assumed he was a fiscal conservative. Turns out he was anything but a fiscal conservative. So if you think that there is no value in asking Newt why he PROMOTED insurance mandates in the 90's, but thinks that they represent the worst of socialist policies today, you are entitled to your entirely WRONG opinion.
