Bipartisan Call For U.S. Investigation Of News Corp.
July 13, 2011 4:30 pm ET by Media Matters staff
Rep. Peter King (R-NY) has called for the FBI to investigate News Corp. to see if the voicemails of 9/11 victim's families were hacked into.
New York Republican Pete King is calling on the FBI to investigate whether Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation hacked into the voicemail accounts of Sept. 11 victims, calling the allegations of the scandal "disgraceful."
"As I see it, I would expect more things to be coming out over the next several weeks," King told POLITICO. "And as we approach 9/11, the tenth anniversary, it's even going to get worse."
King said he plans to send a letter to the bureau this afternoon.
Rep. King joins Senators Lautenberg, Boxer, Rockefeller, and Menendez in requesting an investigation into News Corp.'s activities.

Does he think the Phone Taps on The 9/11 victims were cleared by FISA?
Congressman Issa is a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Newscorp & by default Fox News.
How can you Drag someone thru sh!+ when his Nose can already feel Murdoch's anal grooves?
Speak truth to power.
Mr. News
Even putting aside my little mathematical analysis, members of both parties have called for investigations into News Corp. now, and so, yes, it is bipartisan by the very definition of that word. Will any other Republicans/Faux Cons stand up for what's right, and against their media propaganda empire? I guess we'll just wait and see. My money says that there will be. I expect John of Orange to mention the possibility of an investigation before August.
King is from the Republican Party, the other two are from the Democratic Party. They are all members of the same group of people; ergo, this is a BIPARTISAN group.
You might want to look up words before you attempt to assign a definition to them.
If only someone would ever take the time to compile all the words we use into some sort of book that tells us what those words mean....
If only....
The next step would be getting these numbskulls to crack it open.
LOL!
Although you may mean what you say does it necessarily follow that you said what you meant?
Yrs affectionately, C. Dodgson (dec)
People who use that term "epic" followed by "win" or "failure" remind of the same people who spell ridiculous with an "e" and definitely with an "a", and use could of, would of, and should of, instead of could have, would have, should have.
In other words, I think your comment was rather dumb.
We'll if he comes back to play.
Hurryduck, I've read your posts. You're not a conservative, you're a Fox/hate talk radio groupie. Nothing conservative on Fox/hate talk radio.
That's grand. And we do have that right, by the way.
Do you know what censorship is? Apparently not.
Do you know what a Nazi is? Apparently not.
We have all the rights we need wrapped up in the 1st Amendment to insult, well, whoever we would like to (like insulting you, although, that's too easy).
On the other hand I appreciate right-wing performance art as much as the next guy. Carry on.
You're right. Why aren't all the OTHER Repubs upset about reports of Murdoch hacking the E-mails of 9/11 victims?
All you need is ONE republican to get in line on this, and it is, by definition, bi partisan.
So, no, MMFA does not fail.
It solely means representatives from both sides.
Fox News hosts won't attack Rep. King because it will only make matters worse for them. News Corp. is already in boiling water.
Seems we have four in legislative positions here in Washington.
